Homecoming Week

By Jaelynn Lampe

As we all know, homecoming week starts on Monday. There are a variety of different fun events going on that all students have the opportunity to participate in. On Monday, the girls have their annual powder puff football game at 5:30 pm. The girls get the chance to be coached by some of the guys and football players. They even ordered shirts to keep as memory of being on the team. Tuesday night is coronation where the homecoming court that is made up of the senior class gets to dress up and find out who won homecoming king and queen. That night, each class gets to present their homecoming skit or video that they made and a winner is chosen. Sometimes these are performed live and sometimes the class has a prerecorded video that they show to the crowd. That will start at 7pm. Also that night, is the Volleyball game vs. Dunkerton at Dunkerton at 6 pm. On Thursday, there is a volleyball game being played at Don Bosco at 6 pm. Friday we have homecoming pep rally at 2:45 pm to cheer on the football players that night. Our homecoming football game will be played at North Butler at 7 pm. Saturday night the school is hosting the homecoming dance that is for highschool only. That will be held from 8 pm to 11 pm. Aside from all of the different activities, we are once again doing our dress up days for each day of the week. On Monday, students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite movie character. On Tuesday we have beach attire so students can show up with grass skirts, coconut bras, swimwear (over their normal clothes, of course) and any other item of clothing fitting to a day at the beach. Wednesday, students get the opportunity to dress from any other decade of their choosing. Thursday is twin day or famous duo day. Students can get together with a friend or a group of friends and dress up as duos such as Spongebob and Patrick, batman and robin, shaggy and Scooby, or any other duo that they can think of. Friday is spirit day and students are encouraged to wear their Clarksville gear to support the football team. It’s gonna be a good week filled with many fun things so feel free to participate and most importantly, have fun!
