Clarksville High 2019

By: Cheyenne Behrends

This year Clarksville High School has been off to a great start. We have had multiple successes already and we are only our full second week in.
Our boys varsity football team won their first football game of the season last night against rival, Nashua-Plainfield. Our girls varsity volleyball team also won their first game of the season last week as well. The girls have new coaches this year, Taylor Ahrenholtz and Jordan Scribner. They are two great additions to the team. The team has learned so much more than they have in the past already! The team's next game is next week.
College classes started up last week so make sure you finish those assignments! Some stress relievers for these college classes are as follows: chewing gum, light some candles, spend time outside of class, stress ball, reduce your caffeine intake, and meditate. Getting stressed out happens a ton, especially while taking two college classes and having 8 other classes on top of your schedule while involved in four sports.
We have added five new kids to our school this year. They are all doing very well. Our cross country team have been pushing themselves in practice a ton lately! They ran six miles last Thursday, without stopping! Now they should get a pat on the back for that. School sports pictures are also tomorrow right after school gets out. Don’t forget to pick up your packet at the office! I hope the school year continues to flow very smoothly. Have a great year everyone!
