Homecoming Week

Homecoming Week

Everyone knows that homecoming week is one of the busiest during the school year. Each class has a lot to get done. Between setting up hallways, preparing skits, and working together, you could say it gets chaotic.
Things can get very competitive during homecoming week. Each class wants to be better than the other classes. When it comes to hallways, it can get complicated. First, you have to decide what your hallway theme is going to be. The majority of the class has to agree and decide together. Once you have your theme, you have to start deciding what you need to bring. When you have all your materials, you can start putting decorations together. This is when it gets tricky. A lot of the time, things won’t go as planned. Either the decorations don’t stay together, or they don’t turn out how you imagined. It takes effort and agreement to make a successful hallway.
Another difficult thing to manage is coming up with a skit. Deciding what you want the skit to be about can be hard. Not everyone is going to agree. If you are making a video, you have to decide when the best time for everyone is to film. Most of the time the skits are going to be funny, so you want to make sure you have a creative script. Making or buying costumes also takes creativity. Filming or acting out a skit can be hard, but with the right amount of work it can turn out great.
All of the things about homecoming week take togetherness. Working together can be hard when it comes to each individual class. Sometimes people don’t get along as well as they usually do. When people disagree, they might get mad at another person. This is when majority vote comes in handy. Whatever most of the class wants is what everyone will get. When people work together, they get stuff done.
As you can see, there are several different parts to homecoming week. Setting up hallways, making skits, and working together are all different factors. Homecoming isn’t only difficult, but also fun. You get to have a little time off from class, play games, and be creative with your friends.
