Prom

Prom is probably one of my favorite parts about highschool. I don’t know what it is about it that makes it my favorite, but every year I have so much fun. This year is going to be my last prom, unless I happened to get invited to another one next year by one of my friends. I have gone to prom all four years of highschool. My freshman year, I didn’t go to prom here at Clarksville, I went to prom in Tripoli. One of my best friends asked me to go with her because it was her senior year so I said yes. I didn’t really know how to do prom at the time. I had bought a short grey and black dress that was more like a homecoming dress than a prom dress. I wore converse, crimped my hair instead of getting it professionally done, and didn’t do much for makeup and nails. It was still fun though because I got to be with all my old friends. We had prom in New Hampton, which was really pretty and for after prom we went to the sportsplex in Waterloo. My sophomore year, I went to prom here in Clarksville with Austin Myers. That year I went all out and bought a really expensive and really poofy dress. We actually got to do actual pictures and he let me plan everything, which was a lot of fun. We had prom in the Black’s Building in Waterloo and then we went to the Sportsplex for after prom again. My Juinor year of prom was easily my favorite year that I’ve gone just because I felt like everything looked amazing and I had the most fun. I took Kale Kampman. I bought my dress from a store in Georgia that year and it looked amazing. The flowers we ordered, his tux, our pictures, everything looked amazing it made me very happy. We had prom at the Atrium in Cedar Falls and for afterprom we had a hypnotist and then we went to Get Air. This year, I can already tell is going to be my best year for prom. We are having prom in a beautiful mansion in Des Moines and then going to a place with arcade games and laser tag for afterprom. I already picked out my dress and I’m very excited because its a ball gown from my all time favorite designer. As of right now, I already know who I’m going with and I’m excited to take him because he is one of my best friends and he has always had really bad prom experiences. I still don’t why I get so excited over prom. All I know is I always have a lot of fun and I really enjoy planning it.
